Welcome to the Northeast Renton Park Master Plan Project, an initiative led by Renton Parks and Recreation to bring a new neighborhood park to the north end of the East Plateau neighborhood. Situated on approximately 18.5 acres of land, this park will address a critical need in the neighborhood.

Nestled between the May Creek Greenway to the north, Duvall Avenue to the southwest, and developed and undeveloped residential neighborhoods to the south and east, the proposed park site presents a unique blend of landscapes—forests, wetlands and streams, steep slopes, previously developed parcels. While this diversity may pose planning challenges, it also offers distinctive opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and a profound connection with nature.

Our main objective is to create a comprehensive master plan defining the vision, goals, and priorities for this new neighborhood park. Balancing natural landscapes with carefully selected features, we envision a park that caters to a spectrum of passive and active recreational activities, including:

  • Play areas and sport courts
  • Trails and trailheads
  • Gathering spaces
  • Access to nature

Community involvement is an important part of our park planning process!

This is your opportunity to help shape a new park to meet the current and future needs of the East Plateau neighborhood. During the park planning process, we want to hear what's important to you. A park that becomes a source of pride and joy for generations to come—a testament to the collaborative spirit and shared vision of our vibrant community.

Join us in this exciting endeavor!

Basketball and tennis courts dog park walking trails are what are needed inthis area

No off leash dog area. There is enough noise in this area already. There are deer and bear who frequent the area and it would not be good for them.

Please don't allow physical access to may Creek.

Pickleball courts with lights

Pickleball! Four courts would be awesome. These tennis courts get built and get no use. We play year round and there's a huge community of players

Please install dedicated pickleball courts with lights

Renton desperately needs PICKLEBALL courts!! There are times where the wait is HOURS to play at the current parks. A great option is to build tennis court with pickleball lines so community members can bring their own nets or for the city to provide nets (similar to Seattle).

3 more dedicated pickleball courts

I would love to have more pickleball courts with permanent nets & lights so we can play after work. I see many empty tennis courts that are not being used. Please create more pickleball courts for us. Thank you!

Please add at least 3 Pickleball courts. Currently we have 250 pickleball players for one court. Thank you

I’d love to see more pickleball courts with decent lighting for the evenings.

A disc golf course would be a great idea for Renton. It’s a very fun game that all ages can play and promotes being outdoors and getting exercise!
The closest courses to Renton currently are in SeaTac, Maple Valley, Carnation and North Bend.
Thanks for listening’

It would be great to have a disc golf course.

Please have lots of covered bench seating, and a play area that can be used for many different age groups of children, restrooms, a paved walking loop, and a parking lot.
